Show your love by volunteering to clean up Slaughter Creek near Southpark Meadows.
Where: Behind Moreno Barbecue, we'll walk from here over to Slaughter Creek.
What to bring: Closed-toe shoes, pants, and work gloves. We'll provide trash bags and pickup tools.

Whirlpool Cave Tour
March 21st from 9am - 12pm
Limit of 16 attendants. Please email info@southaustincreekalliance.com to RSVP with attendee names, and attached TCMA Release Form (and TCMA Release Form for Minors if applicable)
What: Our next cave adventure is a crawly cave in one of the longer caves in south Austin. We will crawl roughly 300 feet. Hydrogeologist Nico Hauwert will talk about the cave, the dye tracing studies conducted here to examine groundwater flow to Barton Springs, and nearby proposed construction. The cave is owned by Texas Cave Management Association, a non-profit group committed to preserving caves across Texas. No charge for admission although you can donate to TCMA’s efforts by donation onsite or to their website at https://www.tcmacaves.org/. Liability forms must be completed.

What to bring: Closed-toe shoes, long pants & long-sleeve shirt you're okay with getting dirty. Helmets, lights and knee pads will be provided although you can bring your own
Parking: Parking lot under Mopac South at Brush Country and Convict Hill Dr.
Clean Up! With SACA & Central Williamson Creek Advocates
March 28th from 9am - 11am
Join the Central Williamson Creek Advocates and South Austin Creek Alliance for a cleanup honoring Tom Donovan's legacy.
Where: Meet at the curb by Emerald Wood Community Garden (611 Emerald Wood Drive). We'll walk to the creek together.
What to bring: Closed-toe shoes, pants (poison ivy present), and work gloves. We'll provide trash bags and pickup tools.
Parking: Street parking only - carpooling recommended.
