SACA Creek Cleanup Due to July Rain Events

While we all hold the tragedy of the recent floods in our minds and the victims and families in our hearts, we also pay tribute to the land and nature that shapes and surrounds us. We pick up the pieces and each other as a community. We treasure what we have and care for what we can. SACA is committed to the respect of our communities and the land.

Rain events can result in a collection of litter and detritus in our creeks. If possible, please join us in an act of healing and bringing community together by taking part in a creek-care trash clean at Williamson Creek & i35 @ 5501 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78744.

Williamson Creek Advocates Creek Adopters & South Austin Creek Alliance Keep Austin Beautiful Love Where You Live Day June Cleanup

Signup and Save the Date!
Williamson Creek runs through the heart of our neighborhood. The Central Williamson Creek Advocates Creek Adopters, an Adopt-a-Creek Group and the South Austin Creek Alliance will be hosting a cleanup for on July 26th. We will be working to help clean up the section of the creek we adopted to honor the legacy and continue the stewardship of Tom Donovan. Please join us.
We will have trash bags and pickup tools available to borrow. Please register via the GivePulse website, so we know who to expect and so we can show your involvement.
This work day will focus on trash removal from Williamson Creek. Parking is on-street, so carpooling is recommended if possible. There is Poison ivy in the area, so you may want to wear pants and bring your work gloves. Please wear closed-toe shoes.
