Let's cleanup Little Turtle Creek in South Austin near South Congress & Stassney Rd. Even the smallest creeks need love too!

What to bring: Bring a good water bottle, sturdy shoes, a hat, long sleeves & lightweight long pants, and suncreen / bug spray. We'll provide materials for cleanup.

Williamson Creek West Greenbelt

Head over to Williamson Creek West Greenbelt for a "hike of appreciation and thanks" for the natural wonders that surround us, both big and small.
South Austin Creek Alliance Founder, Valarie Campbell, will be hosting a mid-morning stroll through the Williamson Creek West Greenbelt between Brush Country Road and MOPAC.
In this walking-love-letter experience, Valarie will talk about how she fell in love with her backyard creek and how SACA came to be thanks to a boy, a dog, and a pandemic.
In our creek exploration, we will touch on the history surrounding Williamson Creek in the Oak Hill area, the geology in the Williamson Creek West Greenbelt, our favorite trees, and the general flora and fauna in this narrow, green corridor.
This is a that we hope will inspire others to look closer at and appreciate their nearest creek or urban waterway, no matter how big or small.
